Agricultural Product Mortgage Department

Farmers are provided with pledge loans against their agricultural produce. During the harvest season, the influx of agricultural commodities into the market typically increases. Frequently, due to this high volume of arrivals, the possibility of a decline in market prices cannot be ruled out. To ensure that farmers are not compelled to sell their produce at low prices during this period—and to help them meet their immediate financial requirements—the Agricultural Produce Pledge Loan Scheme is implemented by the Market Committee, utilizing its own funds, under the directives of the Maharashtra State Agricultural Marketing Board. Through this section, pledge loans are disbursed to farmers upon the submission of the necessary documentation pertaining to their agricultural produce.

Cashier Department

The Market Committee accepts payments for market fees, supervision fees, agricultural produce pledges, stall rentals, and various other miscellaneous charges. The Cash Department issues receipts for payments received via cash, checks, or net banking; subsequently, these collected amounts are deposited daily into the Market Committee's bank account. All such transactions are duly recorded in the Cash Book.

Grain Department

In the Grain Department, agricultural produce brought in by farmers is sold through an open auction system. This auction is conducted in the presence of licensed buyers, commission agents, and farmers. The agricultural produce is accurately weighed and measured by licensed weighers. The transaction slip for the auction is issued by staff members appointed by the Market Committee. Farmers receive payment for their agricultural produce from the commission agents.
